Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide 24×7 support to 200+ Linux Servers and other production tools. Provide telephonic support to customers/teams remotely and resolve email/tickets. Hands on experience with different Linux flavors like Centos, Ubuntu and Fedora Core. Advanced knowledge of complex web delivery systems using PHP/JAVA, Apache (HTTP/HTTPS/ HTTPD) tuning & configuration particularly with mod rewrite and mod security. Experience with TCP/IP and UDP networking including Linux firewalls and security. Monitor applications and systems with the help of tools like SNMP, Nagios and Cacti. Proficiency with scripting languages like Bash, SHELL, Perl and Python. Good understanding of backup strategies including knowledge of JVM tuning & configuration. Hands on experience with MySQL replication/cluster and common monitoring and tuning approaches. Configuration and extension of monitoring tools and systems; must have strong grip on Nagios to monitor servers, CISCO, Quintums, AudioCodes from both hardware/software perspective. Knowledge of Asterisk and CMS platforms including deployment & configuration. Familiarity with the operating system, RAID Levels and its commands/utilities at user level; must be able to edit files, use basic utilities and commands, navigate through file system and install software on servers.
Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent IT work experience. At least 1-5 years of hands on professional experience in administration and management of Linux servers. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Strong analytical, excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work with cross functional teams.
